Chateau History & Heritage
Nestled in the heart of its namesake village with its medieval origins to its Renaissance elegance - We had already lived in the Dordogne for 12 years and were looking all over France for a chateau like this and found it only 20 minutes away from us so were naturally delighted.

Medieval foundations
The two towers flanking the structure, along with the central building between the two towers are the craftsmanship of the medieval era. Many windows were blocked after the French revolution as wealth was determined by the number of windows as window tax was imposed on the rich.

Renaissance elegance
As centuries passed, the chateau evolved, embracing the artistry of the Renaissance. The two stylish wings were added during this period, seamlessly blending with the medieval core. This harmonious integration of styles creates the imposing yet elegant structure you see today, a true reflection of architectural skills of the time
